Help for Hostel Staff after Nashville bombing

Donation protected
On Christmas morning of 2020, an RV with a bomb exploded 300 feet from the 2nd Ave N exit of the Nashville Downtown Hostel. Fortunately, no guests or staff were injured in the explosion, but the hostel building sustained significant damages.  The access to the building was first blocked by the FBI for crime scene investigation.  The city is now allowing limited access for safety inspection and repair estimation.  An early assessment by the engineers and contractors estimated about 6 months of repair work.  Most employees have been furloughed and other's hours will be reduced to part time work.  The full time service contractors no longer have a place for work.

The Nashville downtown Hostel is a beloved destination for travelers from all around the world.  The hostel is run by a small and dedicated group of staff and service contractors. Since the hostel first opened in 2012, the hostel team has worked hard to make sure guests are welcomed to Music City and have a home away from home.  Many who are moving to Nashville have used the hostel as a transition place in their new town.  We are asking for financial support to assist the staff and service contractors whose jobs are directly impacted by the shutdown of the business following the bombing. The hostel is working with its insurer to navigate the insurance coverage for the property repair and business damage.  However, the hostel does not believe the insurance coverage extends to employee payroll during the shut down period.  Your financial support is for the hostel employees and full time service contractors.

Here are some footage and photos of the explosion and the damage:
