My neighbor Nancy had a stroke last week. No family history, totally unexpected. Nancys income is social security and she shares a two bedroom place. The pickle here is, is that she has 21 days in rehab. After that the switch her to medi-cal and take her social security to pay for additional rehab. If she doesn't have her income she will lose her place, so if it takes her 40 days to be able to come home her rent would of not been paid and she wouldn't have a place to go too. If we could just help with her rent for 2 months we would know by then wether she would be able to come home or not. The thought of her fighting to get better only to be homeless is heartbreaking. I have been her Nieghbor for a few years and she has always been there to help me. Any donation would be very much appreciated. Please share!!
