Help the children my sister leaves behind.

My name is Lenore and I'm trying to raise money for my sister Jeannie. She has had a horrible time most of her adult life.. She finally met a nice man who loves her and her children and they had a boy together. Their son was still in diapers when she found out about the diseases she has and has been dealing with for the last two years.

Vasculitis pupura necrosis  and pyoderma gangrenosum . There isn't a lot known about pyoderma gangrenosum, it's very rare. At first they were giving her large amounts of prednisone which caused her to become diabetic. They tried a number of drugs to help her but many had severe side effects and didn't do much to get rid of the black gouges all over her body that tend to get very deep. When they heal, if they heal the scar tissue left behind is very painful. They finally gave her remecade which was the only drug that seemed to be helping. She seemed to be going into some kind of remission! We were very excited about this. Then covid 19 struck and they had to discontinue the remecade because it basically left her with zero immune system. Everything came back twice as bad. Her body is covered with excruciatingly painful black gouges!! Now the doctors have been concerned about her kidneys and she seems to be blowing up like a balloon. They don't know why. They are doing all kinds of tests. Jeannie is in extreme pain 24/7and now a days the doctors are giving pain meds out with an eye dropper, so she is hurting all day every day. Then when her dressing needs to be changed, which is every day now, they need to give her a small amount of pain meds just so she doesn't pass out from the pain when they clean her sores. And to add to everything else, the prednisone that she has had to take for a very long time comes with horrible long term issues. You can google these diseases and the drugs they are giving her to help you understand better how bad her situation is.

There are other drugs that are more effective but they are not covered. One is $1000 a shot and another is $10,000 a shot! Depending on how much we can raise for her is how we'll decide what she can try. She's in a very bad way and needs help desperately. Not only is she going through all this but for obvious reasons she can't work and her husband needs back surgery and is on disability. They have three children to care for!
