One minute he was designing a book cover for me, and the next he was in a coma. You can only imagine how my heart sank when I learned about his situation.
Azeez is a refugee from Iraq who made his way to Turkey to escape persecution. He tried to make it to Greece but never arrived. As he fled toward freedom he was met with terrible violence and now he's in a coma.
If there's anything you can do to help my friend, it would be highly appreciated. Whether it is leaving a message of support on this page to help him and his brother (who is currently a refugee with him) stay strong, or by making a financial gift.
