Urgent Help To Save Andrew From Rare Heart Disease

Hi, my name is Andrew. I have been diagnosed with a rare disease called Brugada Syndrome. It's a syndrome that can lead to sudden death and has no cure. The only possible prevention is called an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD). I do not have one yet, and I'm scared. I need your help as soon as possible. This is similar to SIDS for infants, but it's also called SADS for adults. Sudden Adult Death Syndrome.

This is why I need your help. I need your help to turn my rare disease into a rare opportunity for a second chance at life. A life in which I believe that I will survive and again thrive.

I've suffered through the more significant part of the past 4 years in and out of hospitals struggling with much more than this potentially lethal cardiac disease though. I also have Ehlors-Danlohs syndrome, a connective tissue disorder causing daily pain and discomfort. Medications cannot help, the only options are costly pain management therapy, such as acupressure, movement-based practices, and more providing some relief.

Over these several long painful years, my medical team has discovered that I have several chronic conditions and endured many medical procedures. Among those are, Brugada Syndrome, EDS (Ehlers-Danlos syndrome), multiple mini-strokes (TIA), hypertension, hypotension, dysautonomia, peripheral neuropathy, neurological tremors, cervical disc degenerative disease, complex PTSD, multiple gastrointestinal surgeries, and more.

Every condition compounds the other, and all of this makes life remarkably difficult, at times the stress makes the burden feel unbearable, and virtually impossible to find relief given my current disabilities.

The costs of treatment and ongoing care management are overwhelming, and I urgently need your help. I need hope. With hope, with help, with you, I can start to look past these things. I could begin to see a future where I can exist again.

The Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is one of the only few places with a team of world-class experts on this disease, and the resources to provide the care I need to survive and thrive.
