Help my mom support those in need

On the road to a client's house, my mom Jennifer Cook, caregiver; mother of two; and ever-caring woman, had her car totaled in an accident beyond her control. Already having faced financial insecurity, this is a blow that threatens her livelihood, and ability to continue contributing to her community and vulnerable populations.

My mom has worked as a caregiver for over 10 years, supporting vulnerable elders of her community in Burlington, WA. When the coronavirus epidemic broke out, she understood the increased potential of infection her job posed to her, but knew support was needed then more than ever for clients who could still accept care. This accident, rising rent, and having been laid off by clients whose immune systems were too compromised to receive care have piled together to form a disastrous storm of financial instability no one could face alone. Her livelihood, home, and ability to support my younger brother are in the balance.

With the financial support of at least $3000, she could reach a much more stable position. Once she has stability, she will continue using her strong will and determination to do good for her family and clients, like the mom I know always has.
