Help my Houdini

My boy Houdini, a miniature Poodle, was vaccinated as per recommendation by my Veterinarian and about a month later he developed thrombocytopenia. His blood wouldn't clot. Basically he was bleeding to death internally. He was a healthy dog and was very active before. I noticed that he was becoming very lethargic and his bowel movements were very dark. I took him to the vet and they took a blood sample and found out he had no platelets and advised me to immediately take him to the emergency hospital. He was diagnosed with thrombocytopenia (his immune system destroyed his platelets) and was immediately admitted to intensive care for a week.  Many weeks of drugs later, including prednisone, he developed pancreatitis.

He now needs insulin every day as well as immunosuppressant to keep his thrombocytopenia in remission. I have exhausted my funds to hospitalize and treat him, and still have to keep him going,  He was rescued from an animal shelter and he has been my best friend and buddy for six years. I don't want to put him down as he is only 11 and wants to live; I can see it in his eyes.

The funds would be used for his continuing insulin treatment and further testing to make sure his  blood counts and glucose levels are good and hopefully his pancreas can recover. Houdini  used to go everywhere with me and run and play. I want to be able to give him the best care possible!  So whatever anyone can contribute to Houdini's wellbeing will be greatly appreciated by Houdini.
