We are shocked and heartbroken. Our family of five has lost everything—our house, irreplaceable belongings, and a lifetime of memories. There was no time to save anything valuable or sentimental. Everything is gone.

My mom has spent her entire life helping others, taking care of other people's children, the elderly, and anyone in need, even when she had so little herself. She leads by example, and as a result, our entire family has donated our lives to charity. It's a funny feeling being on the receiving end. This home was our safe haven, where my mom poured her love into every corner. Now, we have no place to go. We only have one stream of steady income to support all five of us, no savings (our home was our only asset) and we're trying to figure out how to recover.

We lost all our clothing, shoes, toiletries, sentimental keepsakes, house essentials—everything we rely on daily. Now, it’s just ashes.

Almost everyone we know is in a similar position. The entire city is leveled and gone.
