Hi, my name is Karla, it is with a heavy heart that I am fundraising for my brother, Salvador and sister-in-law, Angela. My sister-in-law's family experienced a horrific act of violence.

My name is Angela, I'm originally from Mexico City, Mexico and have two older sisters who still live there. On April 16, 2024, someone broke into my sister's home and sexually assaulted my 17-year-old niece. My sister tried to stop him, but he stabbed them both as he tried to escape. My niece died at the scene due to her injuries. My sister is currently in the hospital, she's in critical condition and we don't know if she'll survive. Her injuries are so severe that even if she makes it, her life will never be the same. Thank you for your support!

Karla again- I am fundraising for my brother and sister-in-law because they have a challenging journey ahead. They are taking time off work, will need to travel back-and-forth from Orange County, CA to Mexico City, Mexico, pay for hotels + transportation, funeral costs, medical bills, and legal fees. Although my brother and sister-in-law are already doing everything they can, they need help from the community to continue to put their lives on hold as they navigate this tragedy. Additionally, the attacker is in jail claiming that he is innocent even though he was caught red-handed (literally) and with the murder weapon. So my brother and sister-in-law will need to travel to and remain in Mexico for an extended period of time to ensure that the attacker is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
