Update: In memory of Rafael Alejandro
Update:
We are very saddened to share that Rafael Alejandro, age 52, passed away in the early hours of March 18th, 2022, after a very long and hard battle with cancer in his home
in La Vernia, TX.
Rafael was a dedicated hardworking professional truck driver employed with Morrell Masonry Supply for 15 years. Rafael was a humorous, true blooded Texan, who never shied away from telling someone exactly what was on his mind. His legendary quick wit branded him with the following nicknames Rafa, the BMF, and The Mayor of
La Vernia.
Born in San Antonio in 1969, he was the son of late Anita Hernandez and Jose Alejandro. Rafael loved motorcycles, racing trucks, and his family most of all. He is survived by his wife Leticia Mejia and four children, daughters Celestina-Anita Kathlina Alejandro, Chadasy-Ann Katerina Mejia and son's Rafael-Antonio Santiago Alejandro, Amoslee Ed Mejia, as well as his sisters, brother, and
many nieces and nephews.
A church mass in his honor will be 1:00 p.m. on April 2, 2022, at St. Matthew Catholic Church 10703 Wurzbach Road San Antonio, TX 78230. In lieu of flowers a Zelle Account (210-269-0132) has been set up for the family and any kindness would be greatly appreciated.
My dad is the most loving, thoughtful, and hard working man. He’s taught my brother and me that there is always a way. Last year in November my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. He didn’t let cancer overcome his life, he continued working and providing for my brother and me. No matter how much pain he was in he continued to work through it. He’s been through 20+ chemo treatments to be told it wasn’t working.
Now our next journey is clinical trials where it’s costing us a lot more. This was our last resort but I’m asking for some help to raise money for my dad's treatment. Even if we don’t meet this goal we appreciate with what we’re blessed with. Anything will help no matter how little.
