Help Richard Sharp Survive Stage 3 Throat Cancer

Hi this is Richard.
My brother Kenny has been giving you my story and updates, but I wanted to give you this final report myself.
I graduated 2 days ago, March 12th2019 after 7 weeks of radiation treatment for stage 3-throat cancer. It has been pure hell on my body, the most difficult part being lack of sleep (since my salivary glands have stopped functioning like they used to…and I get choked up from the more solid fluid that drains in my throat now), from the terrible soreness in my mouth/tongue, and burning in my throat. I’m not able to eat solid food, and drinking my boosts is very difficult right now.
But I am excited about the next phase of healing! The Doctor says I should give it 6-8 weeks. My employer is covering me with unpaid leave and insurance coverage for another 5, and I do not know what happens after that. My hope is that I will be able to work first part time and build up to full time work by the middle of June.
I have been blessed by your outpouring of support, during my surgery and treatment, from friends, family, and co-workers. After almost 3 months, 46 of you have contributed to my GoFundMe and another 10 have donated privately.
I know that for many, like myself, reaching down into your pockets to donate 10,20, 50, or more is no easy thing. Your generosity has exceeded my wildest expectations. The continued words of encouragement, prayers and support, and your sharing on social media have made a huge positive impact for me. We have together reached over $3500.00 after 3% fees, and another $1800 in private donations. It will help cover my extended absence from work, and offset some of the medical bills.
This will be my last callfor financial help, as we will be taking the site down in the next few weeks. With your help, I’d like to hit that $4K mark on GoFundMe. Once again thank you all for your kindness and financial gifts, and god bless.
