Help my brother Arturo win his battle against depression

Hi my name is Manuela, and I am opening a Go Fund Me to support my brother Arturo’s treatment to overcome a highly resistant depression he has been battling against for the past 3 years.

Arturo is a kind, heartfelt and intelligent person who deserves to live a calm and happy life, and whose depression has limited him to live in fear and sadness. He is an Architect who dreams of being able to work in design again; he deserves to be able to shine and show his talent to the world.

Arturo also loves baking, and would like to travel and have a normal social life where he can have friends and be able to not be socially exhausted all the time. He has been fighting against this cruel illness for way to long, and now we have a small hope of a treatment.

For this treatment, Arturo (who is on a student visa in Australia) will need to travel to Colombia for approximately 3 months. This because the treatment is unaffordable for us here as we are not Australian citizens. This treatment is not covered by any health insurance either. He has been in many treatments with different medicine without any success and there are other more invasive treatments that are so expensive but those are supposed to have a higher chance of success.

Therefore, for our family in Colombia and me, supporting this treatment and his trip back to Colombia is tight financially. Also, we want to be able to have the resources to give him the best chance to re activate his life once he feels in a better place. He dreams of being able to come back to Australia and finally experience what is to be here not suffering a mental health illness.

I will be the recipient of all the donations and I will upload receipts of every thing we use the money for, such as payment of treatment, psychiatric and psychological appointments, flights, accomodation and medication. It is in my best interest to help my beautiful brother have a second chance for his life.

Hola, mi nombre es Manuela y estoy abriendo un Go Fund Me para apoyar el tratamiento de mi hermano Arturo para superar una depresión altamente resistente contra la que ha estado luchando durante los últimos 3 años.

Arturo es una persona amable, sincera e inteligente que merece vivir una vida tranquila y feliz, y cuya depresión lo ha limitado a vivir con miedo y tristeza. Es un Arquitecto que sueña con poder volver a trabajar en el diseño; merece poder brillar y mostrar su talento al mundo.

A Arturo también le encanta hacer postres y le gustaría viajar y tener una vida social normal donde pueda tener amigos y no estar socialmente agotado todo el tiempo. Él ha estado luchando contra esta cruel enfermedad durante mucho tiempo y ahora tenemos una pequeña esperanza de un tratamiento un poco mas invasivo.

Para este tratamiento, Arturo (quien esta en Australia con una visa de estudiante) necesitará viajar a Colombia por aproximadamente 3 meses. Esto se debe a que el tratamiento es inasequible para nosotros aquí, ya que no somos ciudadanos australianos. Este tratamiento tampoco está cubierto por ningún seguro médico. Arturo ha estado en muchos tratamientos con diferentes medicamentos sin ningún éxito y hay otros tratamientos más invasivos que son muy caros pero se supone que tienen mayores posibilidades de éxito. Esto es a lo que le estamos apuntando.

Por lo tanto, para nuestra familia en Colombia y para mí, apoyar este tratamiento y su viaje de regreso a Colombia es difícil financieramente. Además, queremos poder tener los recursos para darle la mejor oportunidad de reactivar su vida una vez que se sienta en un lugar mejor. Sueña con poder regresar a Australia y finalmente experimentar lo que es estar aquí sin sufrir una enfermedad mental.

Seré el destinatario de todas las donaciones y subiré recibos de cada cosa para la que utilicemos el dinero, como pago de tratamiento, citas psiquiátricas y psicológicas, vuelos, alojamiento y medicamentos. Mi unico objetivo es ayudar a mi hermoso hermano a tener una segunda oportunidad para su vida.
