Help Mountain View High School AVID Families

We need your support to help Mountain View High School AVID students and families who are struggling with housing and food insecurity due to the COVID-19 crisis.

Can you please donate?
-   Any amount would be appreciated and make a difference
-  $200 would help cover a week of groceries for a MVHS family
-  $800 would help cover a month of groceries for a MVHS family

AVID is an Mountain View High School program to support and prepare low income and first generation students for success at a 4 year college.

The 160 students in the AVID program commit to take rigorous college prep classes and are supported by AVID teachers, tutors and mentors from the community.

These students are dedicated and working hard to make the American dream come true for them and their families.  They often face many challenges, but their resilience and persistence is amazing.

Due to COVID 19,  some of these MVHS AVID students are facing even bigger challenges as their families are dealing with housing and food insecurity due to job losses or reduced work hours and the high cost of living in Silicon Valley.

We will purchase grocery gift cards with the funds raised and the school administration will help us distribute them to families in need.

Please donate any amount you can.

Thank you for your support of our community and students!
