We have been invited to perform at SXSW (South by Southwest) Music Festival in Austin, Texas from March 13-17, 2019. We’re thrilled in this moment, and realize we are here only because of our community’s overwhelming support thus far. We’re now asking for your help to lift up our journey and vision, to share our art on a big stage.
2018 was full of growth, challenge, and profound connection. With the support of our resilient community in Cleveland, we recently released our second record and toured much of North America over the past year. Our focus remains unchanged: to continue creating an art and experience that illuminates the Black experience, to tell the stories too often untold and unheard, and to vision collectively across communities.
In this new year, we are humbled by the opportunities that are already presenting themselves; Playing showcases at SXSW has been a dream for the band.
With your help, we’ll be in Austin come March!
With our band of 9 members, traveling for a whole week is not cheap.
Our budget for this trip is $6000, here's the breakdown:
$2000 ........... Airfare to Texas
$2250 ........... Lodging in Austin for 5 nights + a rental van
$1750 ............ Food & Daily expenses
We humbly ask for your support, once again, as we carry this dream forward.
We are grateful every day for you, our community, who listens to what we create, supports us at our shows, and constantly shows love for our band members and work.
