Killed by drugged driver. Wife & kids in crisis

Donation protected
Hello, I'm Caroline, and I'm trying to lighten the load for my dear friend, Jenny Sherwood, and her children.

Jon was a family man who worked hard. He had old fashioned beliefs, and he held his family high as their grand protector, never wavering or losing sight of what was important to him -- his family. He was steadfast and strong, but silent and kind, with a big smile on his face every time I saw him. He was a good man to all. He was a veteran. He (not only) called himself a Christian, but walked the path. Jon was respectable, kind, and responsible. Jon was 55 years old, and he could keep up with the younger men. He was an electrician, and he had high quality work standards with a strong work ethic, as he worked in the elements of the Coachella Valley everyday.

Jon had a love for motorcycles, and on 10/21/21, a driver (driving under the influence), caused a fatal accident, and Jon was the fatality.

Jenny, Jon's wife, has stayed home for most of her life, tending to the household, which was first with her mom; after marriage and children, she tended to her own household that she shared with Jon and their growing family. Jenny is in need of assistance from the community, family, and friends, as she has to find a way to keep the family home that is in Jon's name.

Jenny recently lost her father. Jenny's mother is emotionally supportive and loving, but requires living in a nursing facility for necessary medical care/treatment. Jenny's sibling passed away many years ago, and her emotionally supportive and loving sister-in-law, lives in another state. Jenny is receiving a lot of help from friends and family (near and far) in ways of transportation, guidance, food, and hugs and emotional support.

Jon owes a little more than 50 grand on his home. Jenny will not be able to finance the home, and with limited resources, it will be a fiercely difficult journey that lies ahead, given she were to lose it (this is already a hard journey as it stands).

Please help this family to keep their home. This is a traumatic time, and the children need to stay in their home and not feel (or be) housing insecure.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for your consideration. Your donation is appreciated.
