Help Mom Carry On
Most of you may know that my dad's health began declining in 2014 with a heart attack, a TIA (mini-stroke) where he was hospitalized in 2015, and a major stroke in March 2017. The last one left him without speech and his motor skills were degraded to where he could no longer work. However, anyone who knew Tom Brissey knew that he was a fighter. He was improving cognitively, able to say half-sentences, and he could even say our names. While practicing words with his sister who came to visit and help look after him, his abdomenal aortic aneurysm ruptured and he passed away suddenly. We're all still in shock at the loss, but we are encouraged that he is in a place of peace with his Lord, Jesus Christ, where "there is no pain, there is much love, and no judgement" as he would say.
Many have expressed interest in helping. To help with the burden of some expected (medical/credit card bills) and unexpected expenses, as well as the adjustment to this new way of life we're setting up this GoFundMe for mom. All donations will go directly to her.
