Help Molia After Cyclone Gita!

This past weekend,  Cyclone Gita ravaged the islands of Samoa and Tonga causing much devastation . The damage from the heavy wind, rains, floods and mudslides, included my late father’s adopted village of Lauli’i Fou. (He lived there for 25 years before his death) My wonderful stepmother Molia and my younger brother James Steven (Stevie) still live in the little blue, simple two-story house my father built several years ago. It’s located on a beautiful beach cove and was all but destroyed by the cyclones as winds ripped off its roof causing extensive damage to the inside and outside of their home.  It has survived many other tropical storms but this time they weren’t so lucky! 

Molia and Stevie were shaken up but thankfully not injured and are now staying with the village pastor and his family temporarily.  But they have much faith and determination and are hoping to rebuild their sweet home. Unfortunately, they also have very little money. There is no homeowners insurance in Samoan villages and we aren’t sure when FEMA can step in or with how much they will help to rebuild their home. My brothers Steve, Bobby, David and I are trying to help them - but it’s going to  take more than we all can afford.

Molia and Stevie are the kindest people you’d ever meet.!They don’t have much but would give you whatever they have at their own expense. My father (Bert Silva) was so proud of that little house he built by hand and lived in for 25 years. 

Please help us help Molia and Stevie rebuild my late father’s home and try and put their lives back together.! Thank you for whatever gift you can give.
