As with several small businesses over the past few weeks, Kenton Antiques & Collectables was just broken into, and the thief clearly knew what they were doing. Maureen Bachmann - Mo, to anyone who knows her - was completely cleaned out of her most valuable stock items, items that she was relying on to get her through these tough pandemic times over the holidays season. These items are irreplaceable, and essential to keep Mo's business and home afloat for the months ahead.

Shit's tough for a lot of folk right now, but for Mo, this is just another in a long list of blows that life has sent her way. The reason for this GFM is simple: Mo is the cornerstone of the Kenton community. There is arguably no-one who does more for small businesses, and the people of Kenton. She is the reason why the Kenton Street Fair is one of the most successful and popular street festivals in Portland. She donates her time to run the Business Association, and social media that brings buyers to Kenton businesses. She is known, and much loved, by everyone who lives in Kenton.  No-one deserves to have their business violated like this, but least of all Mo, who is one of the most generous, giving, loving, and thoughtful people walking amongst us today.

Let's take the sting out of this setback and give Mo a little much needed financial relief. Even if we can help out with her rent, groceries, bills, it will be worth it. Our girl's stressed beyond belief and never asks for a thing for herself - but is the first to offer help to her neighbors in need - so I feel we owe her some of that love in return. As said, times are tough for everyone, so whatever you can throw at this comfortably and without putting your own financial situation in jeopardy, please do.
