Help Mireya promote her debut solo indie album!
Hello family and friends! Hope this message finds you well! It’s been quite a challenging year for all but I’m feeling hopeful that we will come out of this stronger, inspired and motivated to move forward! I’ve had the gift to be able to spend this past year in New Zealand while all of my band Flor de Toloache’s tours were cancelled. It has of course been bittersweet to watch it all unravel from afar but these emotions of being away from home, global chaos, politic tension, social uprising and more has inspired me to continue creating, to speak my mind and contribute as much as I can in support of my community of latinos, Afro-Latinos, Black, Asian and continue to support all women in any capacity I can.
During troubling times, comes great art- an explosion of emotional art, boldness, realness, all things that reflect the times we are experiencing. With that in mind, I’ve finally been able to work on my solo album and focus more on what I have to say as an individual. This whole year I’ve had to reinvent myself in many ways from playing without my band of sisters, to picking up the guitar, to editing my own videos, recording myself and to forming another band with local musicians in different cities of New Zealand. With all of these unique experiences, I’m giving birth to a work that defines a great part of me and I can’t wait to share it all with you. That is what music is about, sharing thoughts, expressions, cultures, your vulnerability and every part that makes you who you are.
As you know, the reality of releasing an album as an indie artist is load of hard work and financially straining, especially this year. With your help, I will be able to continue my work, fulfill my dream of releasing a solo album and help it reach many ears, touch many hearts, empower and inspire many people around the world.
Now that my album is out, I still need your help to promote it and get it to every corner of the world.
For my album to reach a wide audience, I’d need to get the support of a PR company that usually costs around: $9000-$15,000
Ideally releasing videos to compliment the album would help the album’s success, an expense that runs around : $2000-$15,000. I know, these are all very big numbers but believe me, every little bit goes a long way.
