Help rebuild barn and fence after Marshall Fire

Donation protected
My name is Erin. My parents, Jim and Mimi Yanus, lost their house and barn in the Marshall Fire on December 31, 2021. On December 30, 2021, as the fire came towards their property in Spanish Hills they only had minutes to gather their phones, wallets and their 17 year old dog before getting in their cars and evacuating their property. They watched while their neighbors houses burned, and the fire raged down their pasture towards their house. They didn’t have enough time to get their 2 horses, Breezy and Ginger, to safety. Thankfully, firemen opened the gates for the horses, the horses fled the fire, and were picked up and brought to safety.

The horse barn, as well as the fence around the property to keep the horses safe, all brunt beyond repair. Everything in the barn is also a total loss, including horse blankets, halters, lead ropes, hay and feed.
Breezy and Ginger are best friends. Both in their late 20s and now don’t have their home to go to.

The barn that burn down was 6 stalls, but Jim and Mimi are looking at replacing it with a two stall barn so these old, sweet horses have a place to go home to. They have found 2 stall barn that would be perfect for the ladies. Any money above that would be used to help rebuild the fence around the barn.
