Nederlandse seminarist voor Christus Koning

Ik ben Gijs Uittenbogaard, 20 jaar en kom uit Groot-Ammers in Zuid-Holland. (Ik ben de eerste onderaan links in superplie)

Afgelopen jaar heb ik in het onderscheidingshuis van het Instituut van Christus Koning gewoond in Preston (Verenigd Koninkrijk) om mijn roeping te ontdekken die God mij gegeven heeft. Na dit jaar van veel gebed, studie en werk hebben mijn oversten en ik besloten dat ik mijn roeping mag en graag wil voortzetten bij dit mooie Instituut in het seminarie van de Heilige Philippus Neri in Gricigliano vlakbij Florence, om op weg te gaan naar het heilig priesterschap van Jezus Christus. Maar voor deze vorming heb ik wel de nodige financiële hulp nodig want een studiejaar kost zo ongeveer €7500 en daar heb ik uw hulp voor nodig.

eerst zal ik u uitleggen wat het Instituut van Christus koning en Soeverein Hogepriester is.

Het instituut van Christus Koning is een congregatie van seculier kanunniken gesticht door Monseigneur Gilles Wach in 1990 die zich houden aan de Tridentijnse Liturgie van de Missaal van 1962 met als doel de Aanbidding van God en de heiliging van de priesters. Een seculier kannunik is een priester die 'in gemeenschap leeft van Altaar en tafel' dat betekend dat men leeft in een gemeenschap en men samen komt voor het zingen van het getijdengebed in het priesterkoor en samen de maaltijden deelt. Naast de kanunniken zijn er binnen het instituut ook oblaten, dit zijn mannen die binnen de gemeenschappen leven maar niet kiezen om priester gewijd te worden, maar hun leven te wijden als ondersteuning van de priesters en hun apostolaat. Daarnaast bestaat er ook een zuster tak 'De Zusters Aanbidders van het Koninklijk Hart' die zich wijden aan de aanbidding van het Allerheiligste Sacrament, de contemplatie en ook regelmatig helpen bij de apostolaten of zich wijden aan het maken van prachtige liturgische gewaden. In het Instituut word de Spiritualiteit van de Heilige Franciscus van Sales nageleefd die zich kenmerkt door haar nederigheid en zachtmoedigheid. Daarnaast is de Liturgie zeer belangrijk volgens de geest van de Heilige Benedictus en de theologie volgens de Heilige Thomas van Aquino.

Ons Instituut is in het bijzonder toegewijd aan Maria Onbevlekt Ontvangen en word dagelijks opnieuw aan haar toegewijd in de gezamenlijke morgentoewijding en is gekenmerkt door de verschillende blauwe accenten in de habijten van haar leden.

Het Instituut is rijk aan roepingen want momenteel zijn er meer dan 100 seminaristen en 60 zusters. God zij dank! en ik hoop ook dat u deze Nederlandse roeping wilt ondersteunen, om eens het Altaar van God te bestijgen, Hij die vreugde geeft aan mijn jeugd (Ps. 42)

de vorming in ons seminarie is 7 jaar daarom is blijvende ondersteuning ook van harte welkom. weet wel dat het instituut een missionaire congregatie is, dus elke priester is niet zeker of hij naar zijn geboorteland wordt teruggestuurd. wees er toch van verzekerd dat ik voor u zal bidden en later mijn Missen ook voor u zal opdragen, Deo Volente. als u persoonlijk contact met mij zou willen kunt u mij een bericht sturen hier onder.

I am Gijs Uittenbogaard, 20 years old and I come from Groot-Ammers in South Holland. (I am the first in surplice down on the left)

Last year I lived in the discernment house of the Institute of Christ King in Preston (United Kingdom) to discover my calling that God has given me. After this year of much prayer, study and work, my superiors and I have decided that I can and will continue my vocation at this beautiful Institute in the seminary of Saint Philip Neri in Gricigliano near Florence, and start with the formation to become a priest of Jesus Christ. But for this formation I need the necessary financial help, because an academic year costs about €7500 and for that I need your help.

First I will explain what the Institute of Christ King and Sovereign Priest is.

The Institute of Christ King is a congregation of secular canons founded by Monsignor Gilles Wach in 1990 who adhere to the Tridentine Liturgy of the 1962 Missal for the purpose of the Adoration of God and the sanctification of priests. A secular canon is a priest who 'lives in communion of Altar and Table', which means that one lives in a community and one comes together for the singing of the Divine Office in choir and to share the meals together. In addition to the canons, there are also oblates within the Institute; these are men who live within the communities but do not choose to be ordained priests, but dedicate their lives to supporting the priests and their apostolate. There is also a sister branch 'The Sisters Adorers of the Royal Heart' they dedicate themselves to the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, contemplation and also regularly help the apostolates or dedicate themselves to making beautiful liturgical vestments. In the Institute the Spirituality of Saint Francis de Sales is observed, which is characterised by its humility and gentleness. In addition, the Liturgy is very important according to the spirit of Saint Benedict and the theology of Saint Thomas Aquinas.

Our Institute is particularly dedicated to Mary Immaculate, and is re-dedicated to her daily in the morning consecration, and is characterised by the different blue accents in the habits of its members.

The Institute is rich in vocations as there are currently more than 100 seminarians and 60 sisters. Thanks be to God, and I also hope that you will support this Dutch vocation to go up unto the Altar of God, unto God who giveth joy to my youth. (Ps. 42)

The formation in our seminary is 7 years so continued support is also very welcome.
