Help Michaela Recover After Africa Accident

Our daughter Michaela’s recent trip to Africa to celebrate her 30th birthday sadly took an unexpected and scary turn when she was involved in a serious accident. So far, she’s had multiple emergency surgeries and remains in the hospital, far from home. This sudden end to her birthday adventure has left her separated from her husband and feeling isolated, though she is grateful to have family by her side—even as one of them, my brother, was also injured in the accident. Their support has been invaluable, and the prayers from so many have been tangible, but at times, the situation has been overwhelming for everyone involved.

While it is uncomfortable to reach out for help, the costs of Michaela’s medical care and the rehabilitation she’ll need are mounting quickly. The uncertainty of her recovery, along with the growing bills, is weighing heavily on the family. Michaela is so eager to get home to her husband and her dog, Indy, so she can begin the long process of healing—physically, emotionally, and financially. Along with so many who love her, we are trusting the Lord for provision, healing, and wisdom.
