Help Memorialize Steve - Geva Theater Seat Plaque

Our dear friend, Steve Donner, passed away suddenly in April due to unexpected natural causes. He was a poet, a songwriter, an artist, an illustrator, and a writer of short stories, children’s books, and short plays. Several of his plays were performed at the Geneva Theater. He was also a leader of Finger Lakes Writers For Literacy Group.
Steve and I remained in close touch after I left Harris back in 2017. He was at our wedding, had the chance to meet our daughter, and even enjoy some of our honey from our backyard hives. We shared recipes and I always looked forward to his Christmas card every year. He was such a kind, creative, and generous spirit. His early departure will leave a large hole in my heart and in the hearts of all who he inspired in his lifetime.
Steve was so generous and kind to everyone around him. At our time with him at Harris Insights & Analytics, he was often finding fun and creative ways for us to spend time together in and outside of the office. Many of us still have the incredible sculptures and awards he created all by hand, uniquely for each of us.
We are fundraising to donate to Geva Theater's Front & Center Seat Campaign to honor Steve's life and legacy. A donation of $5,000 includes recognition on a seat plaque for 15 years. The funds play a lead role in creating a first-class facility for students, artists, audiences, and the local Rochester community.
Our fundraising goal is set to $5,250 to cover the $5,000 donation to Geva Theatre and all of the fees GoFundMe charges for each transaction. Any funds raised over these expenses will be donated to Geva Theater in memory of Steve.
