Help Melvin get back on his paws

Many of you know my dog Melvin. I found him when he was a starving stray 4 month old puppy, while I was working in Detroit. Well he's in need again and with my wedding in less than 30 days we could really use help. On the 4th of July 2017 Melvin got out of the yard. Some individual, who was intoxicated let him out and Melvin was run over twice by a police car. Melvin sustained some road rash and a broken femur and they were worried that they might have to amputate. But I was told that they'll be able to save his leg and that he'll regain full use of it! Please help save his leg. Any help is greatly appreciated and needed! I hope to have Melvin up and running again.
