      We’d like to tell you a little bit about why this page was created for Melissa. Melissa is part of our work family, but she’s so much more than a co-worker to us. MK (as we have affectionately nicknamed her) comes into the office each day with her infectious, cheerful smile and quick sense of humor. She has done so much for all of us whenever asked, from lending a sympathetic ear or a shoulder to lean on, to celebrating happy times with all of us or supporting other coworkers as they’ve gone through tough times in their lives.  She’s warm-hearted, caring, kind, and indeed a one-of-a-kind woman that we all care about so much!

  We can only imagine the strain being put on her family, both emotionally and financially; she has two young daughters at home and a husband who loves her dearly. They have such a difficult road ahead as they cope with the illness and the impacts on Melissa herself, as well as the mental toll on all of them. Together with her family and for her family, we ask that you join us in supporting them with whatever amount you can manage. No donation is too big or too small! Every bit of support will mean the world to Melissa, her husband and her daughters!

 A message from Melissa. 

      My name is Melissa, and I happened to find a   lump in November.   After numerous doctors        appointments and tests; it was confirmed that I have Triple Negative Breast Cancer.  This is an  an aggressive form of breast cancer, so treatment will be agreesive to fight it. I am overwhelmed with the all the support I have already received from my work family, family and friends. The phone calls, text and messages and offers of support for myself and family are all dear to my heart. The next  year will be filled with chemo, surgery and radiation treatments; and I am so grateful to have an army fighting with me!
