Our story involves several events. We're in Gaza City, around the Shifa hospital, and I think everyone has heard about the events that have happened, are happening and will happen there, because it's the centre of the city and the focal point of the genocide.

Our story

My name is Iyad. I'm an engineer. I've been in Turkey since the beginning of the war for my son's treatment, but I haven't been able to complete his treatment because the doctors fear that he will now have to undergo an expensive operation, and I would rather carry out my mother's wishes than treat my son so that he can rest in peace.

The story begins when our house was occupied several times by the army and my father and two brothers were injured in violent raids when our house was destroyed, even though it is in the Doppelmasia zone because it borders the German consulate to the east.

But the most recent invasion, which lasted 17 days in the Shifa area, was the most brutal, as an army mutilated innocent people.

Among the dead was my mother, who was killed while trying to save her children straving, her husband and her grandchildren, while looking for food for them.

She left the house with a white flag in front of her grandchildren to bring them food.

She decided to risk her life to bring food and milk, because one of my brother's twins, called Mahmoud, died at the age of 35 days، he was starving to death as there was no milk to feed him, while the other twin, Mahmoud, was fighting for his life. We thank god that he could resist the cold and hanger until now.

Actually, the twins mother gave birth in a car garage, just after the house was bombed, as there is no way to reach the hospital. Their birth was a miracle.

When my mom left , a soldier led her to the middle of the road and shot her six times. Her body lay on the ground for 8 days, devoured by dogs and cats.

Her grandchildren were watching and my dog ran to her, he had lived with us for 8 years and knew the meaning of loyalty.

His name was Jack and the female soldier killed him mercilessly with 4 bullets, he fell dead next to my mother.

All of this was documented in a video that I won't publish until I get my family out of there, so that no vengeance is taken against them.

My mother wanted me to get my family out of Gaza to safety, and that's why we launched this campaign so that my mother could rest in peace.

The rest of my family members are still suffering in Gaza, as we lost everything we owned, including our shops and houses, they're living in a tent today. The kids can't handle the cold, they're also starving, as the milk costs more than 75 dollars.

Now, as we need large amounts of money to get my family out of Gaza, I have no choice but to sell my kidney to help them and allow my mother to rest in peace.
