Hello, my name is Yakari and I'm 26 years old and I'm from Venezuela. At the age of 23 after visiting many doctors I was diagnosed with desmoid tumors, a very rare disease that doesn't have many treatments nor does it leave people like me with many options, if any at all. It was at this moment, when everything in my life changed, I was already graduated as a lawyer and was studying medicine but due to the treatments and strong aches, I was forced to halt my studies. As of now, I have been through 4 surgeries and in the last one, the doctors removed my breast, both the major and minor pectoral muscles, 3 ribs and the right side lymph nodes. After that, I started receiving radiotherapy and taking imatinib and tamoxifen.

My country (Venezuela) is going through the most difficult time of its recent history, it's not easy to get food, and much less medicines which is why I wasn't able to keep taking my medication due to local shortage and the fact that I was not able to acquire them outside of Venezuela, I was forced then, to leave the country in search of better options. Now I'm currently on Spain, the tumors haven't stopped growing, I have 6 of them, I have lost 80% of my right arm's motor skill, I don't have the economic resources to remain in the country and keep on with the needed treatment. Eventhough these type of tumors don't metastasize, due to their size, they can keep on growing and compromise and vital orgam and even lead to my death.

I have many dreams, I wish to graduate as doctor, build a family and being able to others in the future. You can help me, not only financially, if you know any specialist that is well understood of my disease please reach me. However I'm still fighting for my life. I need to find a group of doctor that possess the wisdom of King Solomon and the love of our God to accompany me in this battle. I need to know that I'm not alone, that in this sea of people we call Earth, I will one day count with all of you, forming then an army to give the final strike. Hola, mi nombre es Yakari tengo 26 años. Soy Venezolana, a los 23 años después de visitar muchos médicos fui diagnosticada con tumor desmoides una enfermedad rara y por lo tanto sin muchas opciones ni tratamientos, desde ese momento todo en mi vida cambio, ya me había graduado de abogada y estaba cursando estudios en medicina pero debido a los tratamientos y a los fuertes dolores que presentaba me vi obligada a detener mis estudios. Actualmente me han operado 4 veces en la ultima operación me retiraron la mama, el pectoral mayor y menor, 3 costillas y los ganglios (lado derecho) luego de eso empece a recibir radioterapia, a tomar imatinib y tamoxifeno.

Mi país (Venezuela) está pasando por la situación más difícil de su historia, no es fácil conseguir alimentos, y mucho menos medicinas por lo que no pude seguir tomando mi medicación ya que no llegaba y no me era posible comprarla en el exterior, tuve por tanto que salir de mí país en busca de mejores opciones como no tenia dinero solo pude reunir y venirme sola. Ahora estoy en España , los tumores no han parado de crecer ,  tengo 6 , he  perdido el 80 % de la movilidad de mi brazo derecho,  no poseo los recursos económicos para seguir continuar en el pais y seguir tratamiento que necesito. aunque este tipo de tumores no hacen metastasis, debido a su tamaño pueden seguir creciendo, comprimir un organo vital y causar mi muerte.

Tengo muchos sueños, deseo graduarme de medico, construir una familia y en un futuro poder ayudar a otros. Tu Puedes ayudame no solo económicamente, si conoces de algún especialista que domine el tema de mi enfermedad comunicate conmigo. No obstante continuo luchando por mi vida. Me es necesario conseguir un grupo de médicos que posean la sabiduría del rey Salomón y el amor de nuestro Dios para que me acompañen en esta batalla, deseo conseguir personas con las garras de Messi y Cristiano Ronaldo para patear el gol de la victoria, jovenes como Miguel Cabrera que como un solo hombre dé el batazo decisivo para ganar el juego, cantantes como el respetado Nacho que con su melodia alegre a miles y asi retirar la rebelión en la cual están las células de mi cuerpo. Necesito saber que no estoy sola que en este mar de personas que es el mundo día a día contaré con todos ustedes, formando así un ejercito para dar el golpe final. Los llaneros de mí país, hombres valientes y esforzados tienen un refrán "duele lo que se perdio cuando no se ha defendido". acompáñenme a defender mi vida que el Dios de paz amor y misericordia les sabrá recompensar.
