Hello there,
I don't even know where to begin..
My name is Hannah. Yesterday on 26/09/2021, my partner, Lee, was involved in a horrific motorbike crash. As a result of this crash he has suffered horrific injuries to his foot, namely:
- Degloving - complete removal of the skin on the foot and ankle.
- Broken Bones - In the heal, ankle and toes.
- Hole in the foot - where broken tendons are visible.
He is going to need a huge amount of work done to his foot, including skin graphs, repair of broken bones and tendon transplantation. If his body rejects the graph... He will have no choice but to amputate the foot. Doctors estimate he will be in hospital for weeks. Leaving me at home with our 3 children, ages 8, 3 and 2.
The road to recovery for my partner is a long and no doubt, extremely painful one.
And I have no shame in saying I don't have a clue how I'm going to cope in holding the household together, running it, parenting my children, cooking, cleaning and caring for Lee when he does finally return home.
