Help me mountain bike again after being paralyzed

Hi, for those that don't know me, 3.5 years ago I was paralyzed in a small plane crash. This was something I never saw happening in my life and took so much from me that I'll never be able to do or experience again.

Riding bikes was one of those things and was way more than just a hobby to me, it was my way of life. From racing cyclocross, to commuting to work, to mountain biking some of the countries most epic mountains I was always on a bike. I would plan my entire day around getting a ride in. Ever since my accident I've always said that I don't care if I ever walk again but I would give anything for one more bike ride.

That one last bike ride may never be possible but thanks to the great engineering by the Bowhead Corp there is a trike out there that offers a pretty dang good riding experience! I've been extremely fortunate to have a friend who has let me borrow her Bowhead Reach and learn how to ride one of these awesome creations. It's by far the closest thing I've found to riding a bike again. I'm trying to raise funds to help get one of my own so I can ride bikes in the mountains again, hike with my wife on trails where wheelchairs can't go, and have fun with friends again.

However, that engineering and feel of freedom comes at a cost. These cost about triple what a nice bike does. It's understandable with the engineering, more parts required to build, and small production numbers. I've been extremely fortunate to have received a grant from the High Fives foundation to pay for part of a Bowhead Reach.

Please help me afford the rest of a Bowhead Reach so I can get back outside into nature, riding trikes with friends, and enjoying the freedom I used to feel every day. Any funds I raise past my goal I will donate back to High Fives so they can help other injured athletes get back to the sports they love!
