HELP ME MAKE ESMAY’S DREAM COME TRUE
Esmay is a 10
year old girl with big dreams. She lives in The Netherlands with her mum, dad and her little sister. Her biggest dream is to visit her family here in Australia and to see kangaroos and koalas in person.
Unfortunately, the family is not in a financial position to be able to fly to Australia but this has not stopped Esmay from saving all her pocket money to do so. Her mum promised Esmay that if she saves enough money for her own plane ticket she will find the money so that they can both go and make Esmay’s dream come true. She made this promise not thinking it would ever be possible for Esmay or herself.
Esmay has been saving all of her pocket money plus her birthday money for more than 2 years. As well as selling eggs from her granddad’s farm and home-made granola to save up as much as she can without spending a dollar on anything else. That’s how much she wishes to go and see her family here in Australia.
I know there is no sad story behind this and so for many of you this might not be a very good reason to support this, which I totally respect. But I am really proud of Esmay and I think we should give her a little help so it won’t not take many more years to realise her big dream.
Esmay and her family are very genuine and selfless people. Her mum did THE HIKE SOS in Ghana in 2019 and raised a large sum of money for the kids there.
An expensive trip to Australia is not something they would normally make because they would rather help people in need. This is why I want to give them a little help because a promise is a promise and I think it’s important to show Esmay that if you work hard enough for something you want than anything is possible. It is also nice to do something special back.
