Help Me Keep My Promise to Patti

I’ve set up this page so my friends will have a chance to help me pay tribute to my wife, Patricia, who passed away recently after a short but intense battle with cancer.
What kind of tribute?
Well, as friends of Patti know, she loved the opera; indeed, it was her life’s passion.
So to honour her memory, I want to have her name engraved on a plaque which will be placed on a chair at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts, the home of the Canadian Opera Company.
That would be a wonderful memorial for a wonderful lady!
In fact, near the end of her life, I promised Patti I would do this for her and even at that dark time, it made her smile.
So this is something I need to do.
But I want to do more than just get an inscription.
I also want to book a happy, cheery venue in Oakville where Patti’s friends and family can gather to celebrate her life.
This too is something she wanted. No dour funeral for her!
Anyway, these are promises I plan to keep; indeed, they're promises I need to keep.
But I can't do it alone.
The cost of doing everything I have planned will be in the neighborhood of $18,500, which is way beyond my budget.
That’s why I’m reaching out to my friends.
Will you please make a donation through this site so I can keep my promise to Patti and give her the kind of special goodbye she so much deserves?
Just donate whatever you can afford. Every little bit will make a difference.
I have a lot of wonderful friends out there and I know, all of us together, can pull this off.
But please whatever you decide to contribute, do it soon. I want to start making arrangements right away.
