I would like to introduce you to an exceptional young man with a talent for acting and a heart of kindness which has already been recognised by three of America’s top drama academies. I describe Kallan Fuller as exceptional because as we are aware, at two weeks old he was left abandoned on a doorstep. Initially cousins came forward to look after him. However, by 11 years old, social services had to step in and remove Kallan for his safety after being subjected to regular physical and emotional abuse from a little boy to eleven. During the entire period, Kallan moved 16 times during his time in the care system and as a care leaver. Not being able to settle.

However, this young man discovered acting at an incredibly young age and used it as a vehicle to live out his dreams and escape some of the realities he was experiencing.

I had the privilege of meeting Kallan when he was 16 years old, where he attended a local Pauline quirk Academy where I was working. During this period, I witnessed Kallan’s talent and passion for acting. His focus and drive earned him the lead role in Romeo and Juliet. Kallan would arrive early and wanted to rehearse his role to perfection. The result was a seamless, heartfelt performance. I am not surprised he has earned himself a place in three top drama academies 1) The New York Film Academy, 2) the American Musical and Dramtic Academy and (3) The American Academy Of Dramatic arts where the like of Anne Hathaway, Dani DVatito, Paul Rudd and many other famous actors have studied. AADA are working towards granting Kallan a FULL scholarship they are so impressed by his auditions.

Above all Kallan has always told me “I hope one day I can inspire people and I want to help and give back.” Understandably this year has been difficult for many and there are many causes in need of public support, but I think we all also need a glimmer of hope and Kallan’s journey offers us this.

Despite the odds, this kind gentle young man has kept his focus, studied hard and kept working towards a dream. There has been no stability in his life, emotionally or practically and yet he has still managed to attain what many can only dream of.

So, let’s all live a little vicariously through Kallan and help him achieve his goal. If you can make a donation and offer some words of encouragement,one day when Kallan is a household name and appearing on your tv screen, you can think ‘I was part of this!’ I made a dream come true, and Kallan will be in a position to give back and perhaps help someone else’s dream come true.

He has been offered and provided by AMDA a full ‘Directors’ scholarship which covers the cost of his entire education in America based off of his talent auditions. This as you can tell almost never happens. He has made it to NYC with the support of you all and is loving it and working very hard out there to make you all proud.

However, it still means that he has to raise an amount to cover daily living expenses, school trips, school supplies etc whilst on a student visa and unable to work legally. Thank you all for your support. Let’s make this happen.
