Help me get back out on the water!

Hi, my name is Luke Loewe, Minnesota Basketball alumni. After the season, I decided to follow my dream of college fishing, so I re-started the Minnesota Bass Fishing team. While playing basketball for five years, I have been saving all of my extra money to buy my first bass boat so that I could fish these college tournaments after this basketball season was finished. Last week I took out my "new" very used boat to practice for a college tournament. Unfortunately, the powerhead of my motor blew. This type of problem disables a motor to the point of almost no return. l need to replace most of it or get a whole new engine. (not an option right now due to supply chain issues). With that being said, I cannot continue fishing my tournament schedule without some major boat repairs. Initially, the cost of a new powerhead was $9600 --but thankfully, Mercury Marine is willing to sell me the part I need for a discounted $4,000. The total estimate for the labor costs plus the replacement part is $5,800.
