Help me get Ash home

Nov 28 we got a call from Foothills emerg that my 16 year old Ashlynd had been in a quad accident in McLean Creek and had been airlifted in with critical injuries. She had punctured a lung, broken an arm and broken her back.With extensive surgery for her chest and spine, they did their best to repair the damage. However Ash had significant damage to her spinal cord, which has altered her ability to use her legs. She is now and will likely be in a wheelchair for the rest of her life.

She is working hard with her team at the Children’s Hospital now, to meet her goals of being able to transfer from her chair to bathroom, bed and vehicle on her own strength. Once she’s reached these goals and gotten stronger, she will be able to go home. Hopefully the end of this month if we can complete the Reno.

I have been trying to raise some money to help with some essential needs and repairs to the home to help her move around in her new chair so that she can have everything she needs as she navigates this new journey.

The stair lift being the most expensive at roughly $14000. 00. I believe disability gives roughly 7500 towards relief every ten years so this will help get the ball rolling. This would be a basic need to be able to get her to her room.

There are some renovations to the master bedroom to accommodate her and the walk in closet that’s going to be turned into a bathroom which are the important things to have completed ASAP so Ash can return home.

Through all of this, Ash has shown strength and positivity, she is so motivated to do this by herself, to crush her physio, to always smile. She has been a real fighter.
