It took me a long time of thinking before I created this page. I'm aware there are more important matters and causes that need funding, therefore this has always been my last avenue.
I'm a hard working 22-year-old that comes from a working-class background. My Turkish parents have pre-school education and have come to Austria to have my sisters and I live better lives with better opportunities than they did.
I've always been very appreciative of these opportunities and privileges and throughout my whole life I have tried my very best in growing and evolving.
I've managed to graduate from high school as a straight A student and then proceeded to continue collecting experience as I was working on getting accepted into my dream university.
I've been an artist all my life. In 2017 I've launched my writing platform asliwrites and now have turned that into a business that does bring me some revenue to cover essential expanses.
Alongside my creative work I've worked in the fashion industry as my goal is to step into the world of Fashion Media.
After years and years of blood, sweat and tears I've made it into my dream university; London College of Fashion. I took a loan to pay my tuition fees as an international student (20K a year), asked my employer to transfer me to a position in London and moved to London in October 2019.
The pandemic happened. I lost my job which was my main source of income since my family isn't able to provide for me, came back to Austria to take care of my family with government money and the little money I receive from writing since my dad lost his job during quarantine and now am 5K short.
The last thing I wanted to do is touch my money for my education, but when my family was in need, I had no choice.
Now my second year is about to start and I'm beyond depressed over the fact that I may not be able to enroll simple because I wasn't born into a wealthy family.
I'm not lazy. I work my ass off and I will find a job to fund my life in London but I have my tuition to pay and I'm unable to do so.
If all was my fault, I wouldn't even do this. But I'm just a girl that had a dream since she was a child, she made it so far. I'd hate to disappoint myself like this. I'm not giving up yet. As I'm starting this gofundme, I'm trying my best to find other solutions to these problems.
I hope somebody reading this is kind and caring enough to help me out.
