Help Mavrakakis’s Family with funeral expenses

Hello Friends and community. It’s with great sadness that we share the sudden loss of a beloved member of our town,George Mavrakakis . On Tuesday night George tragically got into collision that took him from his family.  Many will recognize him from the iconic Bradford staple,Pioneer Restaurant . George and his family have a owned the Bradford restaurant dating back to 1982. The family sold the restaurant and relocated Greece for a time. After returning to Canada, the brothers goals of owning their own restaurant became reality. By pure coincidence they found their childhood restaurant was available for purchase. They returned to Bradford eager to return to the community and restaurant they knew and loved. Walking into their restaurant you kind of felt like walking into a sitcom, George knew most customers names, orders, and made sure you were well taken care of every time. They always provided a friendly and welcoming environment, along with fantastic meals. George has left behind two children, Nina and Michael, his parents Mike and Litza as well as a  a sister and brother , and nephew Niko. George’s family thanks everyone for their support in this difficult time. The funds raised will support them during this grieving process as well as help with funeral arrangements.

My husband Mike McCutcheon and I have been asked by the family to create and manage this fundraiser. All Funds go directly to the Mavrakakis Family.
