Help Mauki's stay in business

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Angie, and I am fundraising to stay in business. I own Mauki's Bakery and Country Store in Soulard. I provide my baked goods, breakfast and lunch, and alcohol and ice cream. I started this adventure when I lost my corporate job of 20 years when they moved the office to the Philippines in 2019. I put a lot of money into this building (replaced kitchen floor, new water heaters, plumbing )planning on buying the building  but the original landlord sold it after telling me he would wait for me. I made it through Covid but not Mardi Gras. I tried to succeed at Mardi Gras, but I didn't know what to expect. This was my first year doing Mardi Gras, and I overspent, thinking that I would run out. I used all of my savings, and now I cant get caught up on my rent. My landlord is a new landlord for me because he just bought the building in March. Sales have been slow, but I hope they will pick up when summer hits.  This landlord doesn't know the restaurant business nor does he care.  I had the ceiling fall in on me because of the leaking roof.  He did fix the roof finally but I lost sales  while  they were  here and  the landlord dropped off ceiling tile for me to replace myself.  These are 12 foot ceilings.  Maukis is all I have, and I live above the bakery. If I get evicted, I will have no job or place to live. I have tried every avenue to get a loan with no success. Everyone wants daily payments or 103% interest. I love this community and want to stay. I will miss the patrons that visit me. The patrons are like family to me. I have so many more ideas for this place, but I need to get caught up. I want to sell stock in the company instead of asking for handouts, but I will take any help I can get. I am down to the wire and have received paperwork from lawyers. I am not the type of person to ask for help, but I have nothing left to try. I appreciate you all listening to my story and helping if you can.  I have had people emailing me why they are seeing this because I am not in their state.  I do sell my salsa and hot sauce to individuals in other states.
