Help Matt and Britt Get Their Missing Piece

Donation protected
It takes a village to raise a child, but it only takes two people to make one…. Unless those 2 people are Matt and Brittani Miller, then you need to call the reinforcements in!

If you have been following their journey, then you know that Matt and Brittani have been trying to bring a cute, rowdy, Star Wars-loving, chicken chasing little baby into this world for 3 years now. We can all agree these two have so much love to give someone, but they can't hold them in their arms just yet.

Experiencing infertility is completely debilitating. It is tough every single time someone shares a pregnancy announcement or gender reveal. You are always happy for them, but your heart aches for your own journey which you wish was different and better. The joy for your friend does not stop your tears.

Brittani and Matt call my kids every day wishing that they had their own knuckleheads that got stuck climbing in the doggie door.

So far, this journey has been unexpected, overwhelming, and laced with tears. When everyone around you is just popping out babies, you assume when it’s your time, the same will happen for you. To make matters worse, for some reason this process feels so shameful and isolated. Everyone else is having babies and moving on, getting started with their family, but you can’t. The truth is infertility affects one in eight women, many of those suffering alone in silence.

2020 Definitely hit them hard, as it did with everyone. They have had to miss treatment dates and due to the virus and capacity rules, Brittani had to do her IUI procedures, and all testing alone because husbands aren’t allowed in the room. 2021 didn’t want to be left out, enter Texas Winter Storm. There were so many people who had it way worse, but I have watched Matt and Britt take this in stride. They had a pipe burst in 2 different locations damaging nearly every single room in their home. They have currently been living in a house with no ceilings for 2 months while they waited for insurance approval to repair the damage.

They have made every effort to keep smiles on their faces and “just keep swimming.” These two have given their heart and soul, time, and finances into many options, many medicines, test after test, diagnosis after diagnosis, prayer after prayer and the nursery is still empty, their hearts still ache.

After many other attempts, IVF is the last and final step on the journey. It’s also extremely costly.

Their insurance doesn’t cover the nearly $30,000 in prerequisite testing, medication, IVF or FET (Frozen Embryo Transfer). They honestly thought that was it. Their final step on the road was completely out of reach dues to costs. The hope was gone and that was it.

By the grace of God, we have found a location that can perform the treatment at a fraction of the cost with similar success rates. It definitely involves a bit more work on our end as a family, but their dream of their own biological child is back on the table.

Your donations to the Miller Missing Piece Fund will help them start their family.

Their insurance covers nothing related to infertility, so everything is out of pocket. The remaining amount we need to raise is $15,000.

We wanted to find a way to turn this rocky situation into something beautiful if we could. When we heard about this idea it instantly struck a chord in our hearts and we think it might be a powerful way to welcome this little one to the family!

Let me explain how it's going to work:

We are selecting a beautiful puzzle with sentimental and personal meanings to our family. We are going to basically auction each piece off at $20 per piece. When you contribute, by sponsoring a piece or multiple pieces, we will write your name on the back of the pieces.

We are going to assemble the puzzle and have it framed with both the front and back sides visible and it will hang in the baby’s room as a tangible reminder of all the people that love them and wanted them to come home! When we think of the little one having this keepsake as they get older it makes our hearts swell a little bit!
