Help Marlina Study Abroad
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Marlina Tadesse and I am a full-time, undergraduate student at the University of Maryland, College Park studying Economics and Government and Politics. My dream is to work in International Relations and global development, helping to provide aid to countries experiencing hardships. In pursuit of this goal, I applied for and was accepted to study abroad this Fall 2019 through the Maryland-In-Barcelona program. This semester-long program in Barcelona, Spain, will afford me opportunities and experiences I simply cannot acquire in College Park.
I currently work two jobs to offset my college tuition and housing expenses, however, this study abroad experience requires additional costs that I do not have the means for. As an Ethiopian American with immigrant parents, I learned at an early age that I must work hard for what I want in life. I also learned that a little bit of help can go a long way. As I strive to make ends meet, I ask for your help in making my study abroad experience possible. Any donation, no matter how big or small, is much appreciated as I work to further my career in International Relations and expand my borders beyond College Park.
