Last night, our friends Mark Stevens and Elizabeth Kennedy experienced a nightmare that no one should ever have to face—a house fire. As members of the Marching Chiefs at Florida State University, Mark and Elizabeth have brought joy and inspiration to countless people through their musical talents and dedication.

Mark recently earned the position of head drum major for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. Elizabeth served as a clarinet section leader this past year, demonstrating her exceptional musical skills and commitment to excellence. Both Mark and Elizabeth are pursuing their dreams of becoming music educators.

Now, Mark and Elizabeth are facing something unimaginable and I believe that as a community we can give back to them since they have given so much to others. They have lost cherished possessions and the sense of security that comes with having a place to call home.
