Help Marina save Ukrainian strays

Hi everyone.
Today I’d like to introduce you to Marina, who runs a private dogs and cats shelter in Antonovka near Dnipro (central Ukraine) founded in 2012. Dnipro has about 45000 homeless dogs. It’s an impossible task to house all those dogs without any federal funding so at the moment only injured and dying dogs are taken in who are in need of immediate medical attention.
This facility houses 600 dogs, many of those special needs. There are 3 homeless persons working there full time with the dogs in exchange for shelter and food.
The shelter was made on farmland and the conditions are very challenging with electricity produced from generators and the only water is cold, from a well.
The food for the dogs is prepared on a very old wooden stove.
There is no proper access roads hence during snow or rain all transports are made by tractor, the only vehicle managing access.
This creates a big problem with regards to volunteers on top of everything else, since access is so limited Marina depends entirely on the help of those homeless people.

The practice of adopting homeless animals in Ukraine is not common hence the majority of adoptions are from abroad. With regards to today’s situation (pandemic) this makes adoptions very difficult for the time beeing and because the shelter is already completely full of animals we need to extend by building several new boxes and improve some existing ones by adding heating for new disabled and hurt animals arriving daily.
We’re hoping to raise 8000 euro in total and all donations will go towards building those boxes.
