My Car was Stolen, please help

My name is Marie Machin. I am a student at UMBC, a server at multiple restaurants, and most of all a photographer. If you’re reading this now you may already know those things about me. I’d like to fill you in on what has happened to me in recent weeks, so you can understand why I am writing this Go Fund Me campaign today.
I woke up on the morning of Wednesday September 28th at 8:30am to go to a photography critique at school. When my keys were no where to be found, I located my spare, and rushed out the door to get to class. I went out back of my house, where I had safely parked and locked the car the previous night, only to find it had been taken from me in the night. This was a car I had spent my life saving for. It is how I get to work, to class, to photography gigs. This car was my livelihood.
We are lead to believe someone broke into the house, as it was reported my keys were seen on the kitchen counter at 1:30am the morning of the incident. Along with the car, $1,100 of my school’s equipment was stolen (Lowel light kit 600$, Nikon 55-300mm zoom lens 400$, tripod 100$). I have been asked why this equipment is not insured by my school, and I would like to make it clear that when this equipment was signed out to me it was my responsibility, and now it is my responsibility to pay my school back if I would like to continue my education there.
I am not, never have been, and never will be a material girl. I pay my own bills, work 3 jobs, and have managed to pay for my education 100% on my own without anyone else’s money. Before this incident, I had also been helping my parents with their own finances.
If you donate to this fund I would like you to know the money will go toward paying my school back for the stolen equipment, and a down payment on a new, used car. I have a rental through insurance until the last week in October 2016 (30 days), so before that runs out I need to figure out what to do about a car.
