Help Marie Fight Cancer

The term no one wants to hear. Unfortunately that term has become a daily conversation in our lives lately. My mother, Marie Colwell, was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. We, as a family, were 100% ready to hit it head on and begin radiation treatments. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worst today, 8/15/17. She has been admitted to the CCU unit of Lake Norman regional medical center. She cannot breathe on her own. From what we are being told thus far, the tumor and a blood clot is weighing heavily on her lungs causing the lapse in breathing. As of now, the main focus is to get her breathing back to normal so that radiation can begin sooner then expected. I set up this fund as a plea and a request for help. My parents have accumulated an increasing amount of medical and household debt. With only my dad being able to work, we are hoping to raise anything we possibly can to take a burden off their shoulders.
Thank you in advance! We are meeting with the oncologist tomorrow to hear the next step in treatment.
