This is the story of Maria Celeste a Nicaraguan mother who likes many others sacrificed to be with her son just to give him a better future she is 24 years old and has a 4-year-old kid who Is In Nicaragua, she arrived in the United States less than a year ago and since then she had a goal and this was to bring her son with her and give him a better life than the one she had, she had 2 jobs and used to work day and night to save money, contribute to her house, and send her child money. From one day to another she started to feel a tingling in her legs and out of nowhere her legs all of a sudden stopped working and then she was rushed to the hospital. Once she got to the hospital the diagnosis was not the best doctors said it was a neurological disease by this time Maria Celeste is already invalid without any mobility from the waist down, doctors decided that the best option was to remove fluid from the spine since they said that the main problem was the inflammation of the spine, that’s when the steroids treatment began and another type of treatments just 2 months later on December 20th one of the most devastating news and that nobody expected turns out the inflammation of the spine wasn’t the worst to come she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and it metastasized in the liver.

“The first thing I thought when I received the news was what is gonna be my son's future and there is a possibility that I won't ever see him again, and that felt worst than the news I just received” those were Maria Celeste’s words.

Diagnosis: Acute urinary retention, Anemia, Antineoplastic chemotherapy, Gastric cancer, Gastric mass, Gastric wall thickening, Gastric neoplasm, Hydronephrosis, Liver metastases, Lymphadenopathy, Neuropathy, Pneumomediastinum, Pulmonary embolism, Rash sinus tachycardia, Transverse myelitis, UTI, Vaginal fistula.

Esta es la historia de Maria Celeste una madre Nicaraguense que como muchas otras sacrifico el estar con su hijo por darle un futuro mejor, ella tiene 24 años y un niño de 4 años el cual esta en Nicaragua, ella llego a este pais hace menos de un año y desde que llego se propuso una meta traer a su hijo a vivir con ella y darle una vida mejor de la que ella tuvo, consiguio 2 trabajos y trabajaba dia y noche por ahorrar dinero, aportar en su casa y mandarle dinero a su hijo, de un dia a otro empezo a sentir un cosquilleo en sus piernas, cuando un dia de repente las piernas fallaron por completo Maria Celeste fue llevada al hospital de emergencia, una vez ya en el hospital el diagnostico no era el mejor los doctores decian que se trataba de una enfermedad neurologica, a estos momentos Maria Celeste ya estaba completamente invalida sin ninguna movilidad de la cintura hacia abajo, los doctores decidieron que lo mejor era sacarle liquido de la columna ya que decian que el problema principal era la inflamacion de la columna vertebral fue entonces cuando se empezo el tratamiento de esteroides junto con otro tipo de tratamientos, justo 2 meses despues un 20 de Diciembre llega una de las noticias mas devastadoras y que nadie esperaba resulta que no simplemente era la inflamacion de la columna vertebral si no que tambien es Cancer etapa 4, un cancer avanzado y que ya hizo metastasis en el higado.

¨Cuando recibi la noticia lo primero que pense fue, que va a ser de mi hijo? cabe la posibilidad de nunca mas volverlo a ver y eso se sintio peor que la noticia que acababa de recibir¨ fueron las palabras de Maria Celeste.

Diagnostico: Retencion urinaria aguda, Anemia, Cancer gatrico, Tumor en el estomago, Hidronefrosis, Metastasis en el higado, Linfadenopatia, Neuropatia periferica, Neumomediastino, Embolia pulmonar, Taquicardia sinusal cutonea, Mielitis transversa, Quimioterapia antineoplastica, Neoplasia gastrica.
