Help Us Rebuild After the Fire
My name is Maria Denham, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart. On 8/28/2025, my home — the place where my niece and I built our life together — was severely damaged in a fire. While we are grateful to be safe, the damage is so extensive that it will be uninhabitable for at least a year.
In just minutes, we lost our clothes, furniture, keepsakes, and the little things that made our house a home. We escaped with nothing but the clothes on our backs, and now we’re starting over — finding a safe place to stay, replacing essentials, and preparing for the long road ahead until we can return home.
I’ve always been someone who tries to help others when I can, but today, I’m the one asking for help — not just for me, but for my niece, who has already been through so much. I want to give her back a sense of safety, stability, and comfort as quickly as possible.
Every single contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference — whether it’s helping us secure temporary housing, buy clothing, or take the first steps toward repairing our home.
Here’s how you can help:
- Donate whatever you can — it all adds up.
- Share our story so it reaches more people.
- Offer resources, services, or supplies if you’re able.
This has been one of the hardest moments of our lives, but I believe in the power of community and kindness. With your help, we can rebuild not just our home, but our hope.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
