Help Man who intervened in horrific knife attack

Update: I have closed the donations but Luke would like me to pass on his heartfelt thanks to each and everyone of you for your kindness and generosity. He is looking forward to doing this himself once he is released from hospital. The other 2 gentleman are home and recovering well and Luke will hopefully soon be home where he belongs. Those of you who know Luke will probably know hes going to kick my butt for doing this , he is a proud, private person but as a close family friend this is all i can think of to do to help Luke take the time he needs to recover from the horrific stab wounds that he endured whilst trying to stop an unprovoked and frenzied knife attack on 2 elderly Gentleman in his Local Pub, The Fox in Burwell. On Thursday 16th December Luke stopped for a quite pint on his way home from work. Whilst in The Fox Luke saw what he thought was a man viscously punching 2 elderly gentleman repeatedly. Luke got up to intervene and help the Gentleman only to realise that the perpetrator in fact had a knife in each hand was stabbing the other Gentleman. Luke proceeded to try and stop the attack and in doing so has received substantial injuries to his arms, face, hands and chest, including a punctured lung and remains in Addenbrookes hospital receiving treatment and needing surgery. These injuries are going to take some time to heal and the risk of infection is to high for Luke to return to work. I am doing this to try and raise funds to enable Luke to pay his bills without stress or worrying while he recovers. Please get behind this man who in my opinion is a hero and quite likely saved the lives of the Gentleman that were being attacked. The police have apprehended the man who carried out this attack and I am hopeful that Family, Friends and the Local community will get behind me and make the next stages of this journey easier for Luke and his family.
