Help Make Victoria Victorious....

Donation protected

The Thompson family has lived in Zimbabwe, Africa for the past 19 years.  They have been working as missionaries, dedicating their lives selflessly helping, caring and ministering to the people of Africa. They are now in great need of your help and support.

On February 20th, 2018, Jonathan and Shereen Thompson received devastating news. Their seventeen year old daughter, Victoria, was diagnosed with a tumor in her bladder.  Three days later she had surgery to remove the tumor.  A week later the biopsy report came back to reveal that tumor was a Primitive Neuroectodermal Tumor (PNET), a rare, aggressive form of cancer.

Victoria has excelled in many aspects of her young life.  She is a student leader at her High School, and is the Vice President of Interact Club.  She is the Deputy Head girl of the student council and is one of the top academics at her school. She enjoys being a part of the drama team, acting in several of her high school’s plays.

Outside of school, Victoria is an active member of her youth group where she serves as a leader.  She assists with the Thompson’s work with Zimbabwean orphanages.  She loves making fresh bread to be served at Communion time at her church.  She also enjoys spending time with people, especially her family, and with her dogs.

The doctors in Zimbabwe and southern Africa have limited knowledge of PNET, and its treatment. They are recommending that Victoria be brought to the U.S. to be seen by Pediatric Specialists experienced in treating this type of cancer. Traveling from Africa to the U.S. is very costly.  That compounded with additional expenses for Doctors/Hospital visits, medical record reviews along with the recommended treatment plan to help Victoria will financially impact this family, because the Thompson’s current medical coverage in Africa will not cover all of these expenses.

The Thompson family has a long, difficult road ahead. Time is of the essence for them to make the necessary decision to move forward with Victoria’s treatment plan. Your help will reduce the Thompson’s financial burden and make Victoria’s treatment possible. We are hoping people will find it in their hearts to donate to help Victoria fight this horrible disease.

Thank you and God Bless You!
