Chalyse was raised by her single mom Melissa, until Melissa passed away suddenly in 2015. After that, Chalyse went to live with her elderly grandmother in a small apartment, helping to care for her at the young age of 14. Even while dealing with her terrible loss, Chalyse persevered and stayed on track at school. She graduated from OJR with honors in June 2019.
Chalyse has lived a hard life. She has needed to make many adult decisions on her own, at a very young age... decisions that even adults would find challenging.
Chalyse is a gifted artist. She has received a Promising Artist Scholarship to the Pennsylvania College of Art and Design. She has made a great start in getting her tuition funded, but she needs your help. Funds are still needed for school supplies, a laptop and living expenses over the next four years.
