Help Maia Catch Up

Although I’ve sent whatever was leftover from my unemployment towards rent, it was not enough. I’ve exhausted my benefits and I’m unsure if I will qualify for the extension. Although I’ve spoken to 3 agents, I’m still patiently waiting for my backpay from March-July. After someone shot and totaled my car in May- I had to use money I had saved (along with the help of fundraising) to buy another car. I used my security deposit for May, but without unemployment assistance until July my rent piled up. I’ve applied for rental assistance but wasn’t picked with the lottery and my management company missed the deadline for another assistance opportunity. I’ve also applied for a creative grant and wasn’t selected. I’m an immunocompromised photographer, finding safe work has been a real challenge. I hate having to pick & choose which bills to pay. My lease ends in February and really just want to be up to date so that I don’t have any issues moving out next year. Thank you to everyone that has donated so far. I understand it has been a trying time for everyone and I appreciate the fact that you’ve helped me during this time.
