Help Maggie Keep Her Vision

Hi all! My name is Shiyann and that adorable kitten in the photo is seven month old Maggie (named after Maggie Smith who played Professor McGonagall because the likeness is uncanny). Maggie was adopted three months ago and has been the most high-energy purring lovebug you could ever hope for.

Last week, Maggie started squinting and by that night, her left eye was cloudy. We immediately took her to the 24/7 Animal Hospital where they ran some tests and determined that she has Anterior Uveitis. They were able to determine several things that it was NOT, but still have not found the root cause and now the cloudiness has moved into her right eye as well. The issue with Uveitis is that it can lead to blindness in animals if not treated, and our little kitty is only 7 months old (WAY too young to go blind from something treatable). They've recommended we take her to an animal ophthalmologist, so we've called around and found the earliest place she can be seen would be UC Davis Animal Hospital and Ophthalmology Clinic with an emergency referral, which our very kind 24/7 Animal Hospital has placed for us.

The ER vet visit alone was $1050 and the admission for UC Davis Emergency department is $300 plus whatever they end up doing, so this fundraiser is to help us pay for that. We love this ridiculously cute kitten and plan to do whatever it takes for her to keep her eyesight as long as possible.
